80mm Aluminium Door Threshold Strip – 930mm Concealed Dowel Fix - Silver is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
This Aluminium Door Threshold Strip is designed to provide a wide, clean and durable transition where compatible flooring surfaces meet. Its 80mm profile gives generous coverage over flooring joints and exposed edges, making it particularly useful where a narrower threshold may not provide enough coverage.
The strip is suitable for connecting fitted carpet, parquet flooring and terracotta tiles, and can also help finish transitions with minor differences in floor level.
A concealed dowel fixing system is used beneath the profile, helping keep visible screw heads away from the finished surface. Supplied in a 930mm / 36.61in length, the threshold is available in Silver, Gold and Champagne.

Problems This Threshold Strip Helps Solve
Wide or Exposed Floor Joints
Some floor transitions require more coverage than a narrow trim can provide. The 80mm-wide profile helps cover larger joints and exposed flooring edges.
Visible Fixings
Standard screw-fixed profiles can leave screw heads visible across the top. This concealed dowel system keeps the main fixing arrangement beneath the threshold for a cleaner appearance.
Minor Floor-Level Differences
Where adjoining floors are not perfectly level, the profile can help create a more finished transition. No exact maximum height difference is specified, so the floor levels should be measured before ordering.
Worn or Damaged Existing Thresholds
An old trim may become loose, scratched or unsuitable after flooring changes. This 80mm profile can provide replacement coverage where its dimensions suit the opening.
Different Flooring Materials Meeting
Carpet, parquet and terracotta can create visually untidy transitions. The aluminium profile helps create a consistent finished connection between compatible surfaces.
Benefits of This 80mm Threshold Strip
Extra-Wide 80mm Coverage
The wide face provides more joint coverage than narrower threshold profiles, making it useful for larger floor gaps or transitions.
Concealed Installation
The fixing system sits beneath the trim, helping maintain a cleaner and more professional-looking top surface.
Durable Anodised Aluminium
The aluminium profile provides a hard-wearing finish for frequently used floor transitions.
Three Finish Options
Choose from Silver, Gold or Champagne to coordinate with flooring and surrounding interior details.
Can Be Cut to Fit
The 930mm profile can be trimmed with a suitable hacksaw where a shorter length is required.
Applications
Suitable for compatible:
- Fitted carpet
- Parquet flooring
- Terracotta tiles
- Doorways
- Room-to-room transitions
- Wider floor joints
- Minor floor-level changes
- Stair-top transitions

Installation Guide
-
Measure the doorway or floor transition and cut the profile to the required length using a suitable hacksaw.
-
Position the threshold over the transition and determine the required fixing locations.
-
Drill suitable holes in the floor at the marked positions.
-
Slide the fixing dowels into the track underneath the aluminium profile.
-
Align the dowels with the drilled holes.
-
Push the threshold firmly down until the dowels are fully seated and the profile sits securely and evenly.
Ensure the installation area is clean, dry and stable before fitting.
Before Ordering
Measure the length of the opening, the width of the flooring joint and any difference between adjoining floor levels.
The profile is 80mm wide and 930mm long, so check that the wider face is suitable for the area you need to cover.
The strip can help with minor floor-level differences, but no exact maximum height tolerance is specified. For a substantial change in floor level, a dedicated ramp or reducer profile may be more suitable.
What Does the Customer Get from This Product?
The customer gets an extra-wide floor transition with a concealed mounting system.
The 80mm width provides more coverage than a typical narrow threshold, making it useful where the floor joint, exposed edges or previous fixing area needs additional coverage.
At the same time, the concealed dowel system helps keep the finished top surface free from prominent screw heads, giving the doorway a cleaner appearance.
Why Choose This 80mm Aluminium Door Threshold Strip?
This profile is a strong option for customers who need wide floor-joint coverage combined with concealed fixing.
Its anodised aluminium construction, 80mm width, three finish options and concealed dowel installation make it suitable for both new flooring work and replacement threshold projects.
