Problems This Stair Nosing Helps Solve
Exposed LVT or Vinyl Stair Edges
The front edge of LVT or vinyl on a stair can be vulnerable to repeated contact and wear. This aluminium profile provides a defined protective outer corner.
Untidy Tread-to-Riser Junctions
An unfinished front stair edge can reduce the quality of the overall installation. The outer-corner profile gives the tread-to-riser junction a cleaner and more consistent finish.
Dirt Collecting Around Edge Gaps
Open edge or expansion-gap areas can collect dust and debris. The profile helps cover compatible gaps for a tidier finished result.
Vulnerable Step Corners
Stair edges receive frequent foot traffic and everyday contact. The anodised aluminium trim provides a more durable finishing surface around this high-use area.
Inconsistent Stair Finishing
Using the same profile across multiple steps helps create a uniform and professional-looking staircase.
Benefits of This 5mm LVT Stair Nosing
Designed for 5mm Flooring
The profile is made specifically for 5mm LVT and vinyl, helping customers select a trim suited to the flooring thickness.
Protects the Outer Stair Edge
The aluminium corner helps shield the exposed flooring edge from regular contact and wear.
Three Anodised Finishes
Silver, Gold and Champagne provide more choice when coordinating the nosing with flooring and surrounding interior details.
Secure Screw-Fix Installation
Pre-drilled holes allow the profile to be mechanically secured to a suitable stair substrate.
Two Length Options
Choose 900mm for standard or shorter stair widths, or 2500mm for wider treads or projects requiring several cut sections.
Available Finishes
- Silver
- Gold
- Champagne
All three options use a smooth anodised finish designed for a durable interior stair-edge appearance.

Measure the stair width and cut the aluminium profile to the required length using a suitable metal-cutting saw or hacksaw.
-
Position the nosing accurately on the outer edge of the step.
-
Use the pre-drilled holes in the profile to mark the fixing positions.
-
Drill the stair substrate where required.
-
Secure the profile using suitable screws and check that it sits firmly, evenly and flush with the surrounding flooring edge.
Use fixings suitable for the stair substrate.
Before Ordering
Confirm that your flooring is 5mm LVT or vinyl, as this profile is designed around that flooring thickness.
Measure the stair width carefully and choose between 900mm and 2500mm lengths, allowing extra material for cutting where required.
Also check that the stair substrate is suitable for the confirmed screw-fix installation method.
What Does the Customer Get from This Product?
The customer gets a purpose-designed aluminium finishing profile for 5mm LVT and vinyl stairs, rather than a generic metal angle.
It helps protect the exposed outer corner, gives the tread-to-riser junction a cleaner finish and helps cover suitable gap areas where dirt and debris could collect.
The choice of three anodised colours and two lengths also gives more flexibility when matching different interiors and stair widths.
Why Choose This 5mm LVT Stair Nosing?
This profile combines precise 5mm flooring compatibility, aluminium edge protection, secure screw fixing and three anodised finish choices.
It is suitable for both new LVT or vinyl stair installations and replacement projects where a durable and clean outer-corner finish is required.
