Problems This Threshold Strip Helps Solve
Untidy Floor Joins
Where two flooring surfaces meet, the transition can look unfinished. The 47mm profile covers the joint and gives the doorway a cleaner appearance.
Metal Trims That Do Not Match Wood Flooring
A plain metal threshold can stand out against laminate or timber-style floors. The wood-effect finish provides a more coordinated look.
Customers Who Do Not Want Visible Screws
The concealed dowel system keeps the main fixings underneath the profile, while the self-adhesive option avoids screw fixing altogether.
Small Differences Between Floor Levels
The profile can help create a smoother visual transition across compatible floors with minor level changes. Since no exact maximum height difference is specified, the actual floor levels should be checked before ordering.
Replacing Worn Existing Door Bars
The strip can also be used to refresh a doorway where an old threshold has become scratched, damaged or untidy.
Benefits of This Wood Effect Door Threshold
Natural-Looking Finish
The laminated wood-effect surface works well with laminate, parquet and other timber-style floors.
Two Installation Options
Choose self-adhesive fitting for a quick installation or concealed dowel fixing where a mechanical hold is preferred.
Clean Finished Appearance
Both fixing methods help avoid visible screw heads across the top of the threshold.
Nine Colour Choices
A broad wood-effect range makes it easier to choose a finish that suits the surrounding floor.
Durable Aluminium Base
The aluminium core provides a strong foundation beneath the decorative laminated surface.

Installation Guide
Self-Adhesive Method
-
Measure the opening and cut the profile to the required length using a suitable fine-tooth hacksaw.
-
Make sure the floor is smooth, clean, dry and free from dust or grease.
-
Test-position the strip before removing the backing.
-
Peel away the adhesive backing.
-
Align the threshold carefully and press firmly into place.
-
Apply even pressure along the full length to help the adhesive bond.
Concealed Dowel Method
-
Measure and cut the threshold to the required length.
-
Position the profile and mark the fixing points.
-
Drill suitable holes in the floor.
-
Insert the supplied plugs and slide the dowels into the fixing track beneath the profile.
-
Align the dowels with the drilled holes.
-
Press the threshold firmly into position until secure.
Before Ordering
Check the width of the floor joint, the 930mm length and any difference in floor levels before ordering.
The profile is 47mm wide, so make sure this gives enough coverage for the transition.
If the floors meet at different heights, check the actual level difference against the profile before fitting, as no exact maximum height tolerance is specified.
What Does the Customer Get from This Product?
The customer gets a decorative floor transition with two fixing options rather than a basic metal strip.
The wood-effect surface helps the threshold blend with laminate and timber-style flooring, while the self-adhesive or concealed dowel system gives more flexibility during installation.
With nine colour choices, the customer also has a better chance of finding a finish that suits the surrounding floor.
Why Choose This 47mm Wood Effect Threshold Strip?
This profile is a practical choice where the customer wants a cleaner floor transition without the appearance of visible metal screws.
Its aluminium construction, realistic wood-effect finishes and 2-in-1 fixing system make it suitable for both new flooring projects and replacement threshold installations.
